Geode necklace that allows her to use empathy/telepathy/memory reading powers in human form. Unicorn form absorbs the necklace and can still be used. Both forms are capable of using the Magic of Friendship. AKA the series Deus Ex Machina. Unicorn Sunset is capable of using magic! Which includes things like telekinesis, teleportation, transmutations, growth spells, and more because she was a magical protege who learned a bunch of spells and MLP is vague on defining magic limits, even though it is known it takes extensive study and intelligence to learn beyond telekinesis for unicorns. Her horn is required as the focus though. Permissions I'm down for most things as long as you talk to me first! Some quick yes/no's. I'm not good with graphic descriptions of cutting into flesh. Sensing She's a unicorn transformed into a human. She's high magic, high psychic. She has a magical connection to a number of people Outside herself, but one does connect to this guy. She's temporarily been a demon and a god.

So Sunset has Empathy/Telepathy/Memory based power. It requires her to be in close proximity to her geode and generally requires her to touch a person. (Though if the geode is supercharged by external forces, she can bypass the touch requirement, but it also means she can't shut it off.)

Upon contact, Sunset's eyes will flash white for a second as the power works on the speed of thought. The ability will let her get surface thoughts, emotions, and memories.

This power operates on one of two ways.

One is Sunset is looking for information. Thus whatever thoughts/emotions/memories will tell her what she wants to know will come up so she has her answer.

Two is when someone is actively having a problem when they make contact with Sunset. If they're not in distress in anyway, nothing happens, but if they're fretting or mentally screaming about it, Sunset will start getting things. Brushing contact will get just the surface thoughts. A full on touch for more than a second will dump all the memories necessary for Sunset to understand the current problem.

Keep in mind, this runs on the speed of thought. On the outside, the most people will catch is her eyes whiting out for a moment and any changes in her demeanor. They don't notice much time passing at all even if Sunset is getting several minutes worth of memories.

It is also possible for her to get memories from objects, but we've only seen her do it seeing the path of snow so its ill defined. I'll go with it needs to be an object 'absorbing' things from what's around it: Such as its something like water that has traces of its path, or something given a lot of 'emotional' energy.

NOW! Sunset usually only has this power in a low magic world against people who aren't used to magic. Her geode is also away from the other geodes which affects how well it's powered.

So her powers are more finicky when she's not home. Whether because they hit a magical wall, the magical auras in the area, or just because her geode is shorting out on it's own, her magic won't always work.
